The environmental impact report for the America’s Cup races in the San Francisco Bay will be released next week. Organizers of the international sailing competition pushed for a fast-tracked review of environmental concerns because they want to start construction by early 2012 in time for the 2013 races. No clue yet what’s in the draft report, but we know there are concerns by the environmental community about sensitive wildlife habitat that may be disturbed by the throngs of spectators.
