Hybrid vehicles have become so common in the Bay Area there’s no need to create incentives to buy them. Come Friday, the energy efficient vehicles in California will lose their special status to drive freely in car pool lanes and the 85,000 yellow sticker cars will be funneled back onto jam-packed highways. The white-sticker program – covering compressed natural gas (CNG) and fully electric vehicles — will remain. Apparently, tears were shed at the Roadshow Prius Party on Sunday.
